Bluff Oyster Fest 2015 - Results

The Barnes Wild Bluff Oysters team had a fantastic day at the 2015 Bluff Oyster and Food Festival on Saturday. The purpose build venue ensured a great day for all no matter the weather - well done to the committee on such a successful event.

We were thrilled to place third in the Food Stall competition while some of our staff experienced individual success in the Oyster Opening competitions, notably our very own Vic Pearsey who took out the Womens 50 Oysters title for the fifth time running!

Ricci Grant and Keith Dawson were both placed in the Mens 50 Oysters competition while Greg Claxton joined Keith in the Blindfold 10 Oysters placings.

In perhaps the most exciting match up of the day, team Barnes initially finished equal with team Direct Fish in the relay, but was unlucky to go down in an intense tie breaker by just five seconds.

1st - Team Direct Fish 4 minutes 49 seconds (won a tie breaker with a time of 1 minute 01 seconds)

2nd - Team Barnes 4 minutes 49 seconds (lost a tie breaker with a time of 1 minute 06 seconds)
